Meet the Pros
After graduating from university, Erol Bek began his career as a writer-illustrator for humor magazines such as Gırgır, Fırt, Limon, and Hıbır, as well as newspapers such as Hürriyet, Cumhuriyet, Siyah/Beyaz, and Günaydın. From 1994 to 1996, he worked with Barış Manço’s author team, and from 1997 to 2000, he designed indoor, outdoor, and packaging products for various companies in his advertising agency.
In 2000, he became an Art Director at “estore,” one of Turkey’s first e-commerce companies founded by İzi Adato. During the formation of Enter New Media, he managed digital projects for many prestigious brands, including “IGS,” “Ağaoğlu,” “Ege Seramik,” and “Finspor,” for eight years. In 2004, he founded dinodream.com, Turkey’s first design platform. This platform organized competitions and social responsibility projects that received awards and brought a voice in all media in a short amount of time. In 2009, he was part of the team that founded Limango Turkey (The Otto Group company). As the Assistant General Manager responsible for Creative, he managed the Studio, Production, and Graphics departments for six years. With LimangoCreative, he managed the photo production projects of brands such as “Elle,” “Roman,” “Demsa,” and “Intersport.”
From 2015 to 2019, he worked as a design consultant for major brands, including “Flo,” “DeFacto,” “Butigo,” “Deriden,” and “Edenred.”
In 2018, he moved from Istanbul to Barcelona, and in 2021, he founded his own “Boutique Brand and Design Agency,” olaCreative, with his soul mate.
She graduated from Anadolu University Fine Arts Graphic Department in 1992. From 1993 to 1996, she designed packaging and graphics projects for various brands, including “Camsil,” “Ernet,” and “Kenton,” at Tibet and Sultans Group. In 1996, she worked as a graphic designer at P&P Advertising Agency for major brands, such as “Mado,” “Amnesty,” and “Medipol.”
In 1997, she worked as a Managing Art Director at İhlas Holding, where she created websites for numerous companies with her team. In 1999, she worked as an Internet Director at “Europe and America Holding,” managing the digital parts of “Cine5,” “MaxiTV,” and “Playboy” projects in Cengiz Semercioğlu’s team. In 2001, she worked as an Art Director at MasNet digital agency, where she managed and designed major food brands, such as “Duru Bulgur,” “Bambi,” “Selva Makarna,” and “Muratbey.” From 2002 to 2005, she worked as the Executive Art Director for big brands, such as “Arçelik,” “Beko,” “Koç Holding,” “Lykia World,” “Aria,” and “Avea,” at the Enova Web Agency under Saatchi Saatchi advertising agency.
Between 2005 and 2019, she created and managed her own projects. She gained attention with her “Bujo” pillowcases project, which featured double-sided designs with illustrations from famous artists. She raised awareness about women’s issues and current events with her project “A Cookie for Every Day.” With the “tiktukmag” project, she interviewed famous Sugar Artists in the sector and prepared podcasts.
In 2018, she moved from Istanbul to Barcelona, and in 2021, she founded her own “Boutique Brand and Design Agency,” olaCreative, with her soul mate.
